I've been on a ridiculous Harry Potter kick the last few days. I'm remembering a lot of what happened in the final book which is great, because up until recently I forgot the majority of the plot. Once I finish The Host (for school, die Stephanie) and my report I think I'll try to read Deathly Hallows again before school.

I'm actually getting more and more excited for school, I'm ready to go back (mentally) but I just don't want to go back to Bishop Fenwick. Whatever though, take what you're given and flaunt it I guess. This year is bound to be better than last year for a multitude of reasons anyway.

On Sunday night I think it was, I went to Doctor Reine's house with my cousin Dan and a few of his friends that I haven't seen since maybe eighth grade. Doctor Reine just bought a new six inch schmitt cassegrain reflector and he invited us look through it. The only thing we really saw was The Milky Way and the globular cluster M13 which is located in the Hercules constellation I believe. I got there too late to see jupiter which was kind of a bummer but hey! I'm pretty sure you could see the three moons from where we were. There was some light pollution but it wasn't too bad. That was overall a pretty good night, Dan said some really nice things to me when I got home, thank you cousin <3

I bought a bunch of books that I also need to read, but I definitely wont finish them before the end of the summer. I love buying books seriously euupphhoorriiaaa.

two birds on a wireCollapse )

a day in the life.

I don't really know where to begin so this is a recapitulation of my week which would have come in multiple entries had livejournal been working for me for the past four or however many days it's been down. Yesterday was the first time I've actually been able to get on, anyway though.

Monday was almost horrible, nothing really noteworthy happened except for a six hour work day which for my lazy ass was tedious. We have a lot of people applying for jobs lately because all of the seniors are leaving for college within the next month. I know some of the new people and that's an okay thing.

Tuesday was even worse because I had a seven hour work day. Last time I had one of those I didn't get a break. Donna informed me on this day that I got a thirty minute break so that was great. Stephanie and I got pizza and this really creepy guy was looking out our window the whole time and we were trying not to die laughing. When I got home from work I was talking to Abby and she wanted to know if I wanted to stay over her house that night so I said sure. We watched this television show on Discovery I think, "I didn't know I was pregnant" and this lady had twins on the toilet and apparently they fell in the bowel, Abby and I were dying. After that we watched Animal Planet and this show called "Pig Bomb" came on. It was about this incredible Pig / Boar hybrid, it was hilarious. Mostly because we were exhausted I think but I haven't laughed that hard in at least the past month so that was nice. We talked for the rest of the night pretty much.

We talked through most of Wednesday too. Abby had to take medicine for her Meningitis though, that was very eventful.

Thursday night was the concert. Panic at the Disco was amazing, that is the end. That is all. Brendon came out during Fall Out Boy's set and sang "Don't Stop Believing" which was a really great thing to see. He looked very nice. It was a really good concert, even though I really didn't know Blink 182 but it was definitely a really cool thing to see. We waited three hours to get out of the parking lot which sucked and I didn't end up getting home until 3:00 AM

I didn't wake up until 3:00 PM on Friday. I asked Kaitlyn if she wanted to see 500 Days of Summer because I've really been dying to see it, I think anyone that knows me at all knows that. My expectations were definitely lived up to although as I said, the inherent hipster within myself is kind of pissed that it's getting so much press or whatever and so many people are seeing it, but whatever. It was such a good movie I'm probably going to see it again as many times as possible.

Saturday was the stupid thing that my grandmother was doing at our house but it ended up being pretty nice since Ashley, Kaitlyn, and Frank came, so those are pretty much all of my good in real life friends who I actually like. It's weird because I have a different like, persona with everyone that I'm friends with but they got along pretty harmoniously I thought. We went down to the beach and went into the water which was beautiful and some people hit Ashley and Kaitlyn with water balloons hahaha. We didn't do much but I thought it was nice. Then I went to bed and here is like, the crux of my story, I finally, finally after two or three months of trying had a lucid dream. This is the second one I can remember and my point of view was pretty unfocused because I was giggling both in my dream and in real life I think. But a few things happened and it ended up with I pushed someone into the water who was trying to push me into the water, and he was trying to come back onto the train tracks (which were running over the water) I freaked out but then came to the conclusion that I was dreaming and I said in my dream "HOLY SHIT I'M LUCID" and the first thing I did was jump really high and I started to fly but then the giggling commenced and I sort of woke up.
